Small is Beautiful. In today's world of large corporations, big production houses, and huge impersonal sales forces, its good to know that small companies still exist. We are a small company that specializes in making and sourcing small collectible kites from all over the world. Our offices are in the USA and Thailand, and we source kites from all over the world, and produce some of the models ourselves through our cottage industry network in Thailand. Our story...... The kite industry and kites have had a rich tradition and history. During the last two decades, kites have come and gone, but a few have had special places in our hearts and are collector's items. Unfortunately, many of these kites were thrown away, worn out or damaged beyond repair. Keeping a collection that could be displayed in a limited space at home was out of the question. Wouldn't it be great if we had available small scale models of our favorite kites like cars or airplane enthusiasts? Small World Kites was the brainchild of founder Craig Wong when he was presented with a miniature Prism stunt kite by his friends in Thailand. They loved kites, but because of the scarcity of fabrics, kite parts, and framing material, all they could do was to make small models of the kites they wanted. They used pictures from catalogs, the internet, and an occasional glimpse of a visiting flyer's kites for inspiration.

Craig was so impressed with the work that he encouraged them to organize a cottage industry network to produce a variety of historic, collectible, sports kites. These kite makers have since developed the unique expertise along with the renown Thai attention to detail to produce some extremely beautiful collectibles. Today, Small World Kites remains a small company offering the following products and services.
